Welcome to SouthEast Family Practice

FLU AND COVID BOOSTER VACCINES

We have already given 1500 patients the Flu vaccine.  We are unfortunately limited by the supply of the vaccine, but we will continue to contact patients who are eligible as the vaccine is made available to us. We aim to complete this programme as quickly as possible, in order to help to protect everyone in the community.

Alongside the flu vaccine programme, we are also beginning the Covid booster vaccine programme on Tuesday 19th October, by appointment only.  Elligible patients will receive a dose of the Pfizer vaccine.  Patients will be unable to receive a covid booster until at least six months after they have had a second dose of the vaccine. We will contact eligible patients.  Unfortunately we are limited by the supply of the vaccine,  availability of staff and appropriate premises, and the complexities of carrying out the Booster programme.

The Covid booster clinics will be carried out by our clinical staff at Belvoir Presbyterian Church, 24c Dunseverick Avenue, Belvoir, Belfast, BT8 7EA.

Please do not telephone the surgery to ask about these vaccines as our telephone lines are extremely busy due to very high demand for medical advice.  We appreciate your patience, whilst we aim to deliver these vaccines as quickly as possible, alongside continuing to provide our normal clinical services.

We will update this website with more information as soon as it becomes available to us.

For urgent queries about vaccination or if You have not yet had a first or second dose of Covid vaccine please contact us via email Reception.Z001482@gp.hscni.net

COVID-19

Due to the current pandemic the Practice has changed the way it works, in line with Public health Guidance in NI.

These changes have been necessary, in order to minimise risk of COVID to both patients and staff, but also to help the practice deal more efficiently with the large increase in demand for GP services.

WE WANT TO REASSURE PATIENTS  THAT WE ARE WORKING HARDER THAN EVER TO ENSURE THAT PATIENTS RECEIVE APPROPRIATE CARE AND ADVICE, AS SAFELY AND AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

We are keeping the situation, our response, and our delivery of services under constant review.

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR CONTINUED APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING.

NEED MEDICAL ADVICE?

  • Patients requiring medical advice should contact the surgery by telephone in the first instance.

  • Our receptionists will ask you some questions, in order to assess the urgency of the problem, but also to help direct your query to the most appropriate clinician, which may include a GP, Advanced nurse practitioner or clinical pharmacist.  This allows the practice to help more patients to quickly get the advice they need.

  • We will be able to offer  clinical advice remotely via telephone or Video consultation. If deemed clinically appropriate, patients will then be invited for a face-to-face consultation with a clinician.

  • THE RECEPTIONIST MAY SUGGEST, ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF RESOLVING A QUERY, FOR EXAMPLE A CONSULTATION WITH ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE PRACTICE TEAM (EG DIABETIC NURSE TO DEAL WITH DIABETIC QUERIES).
  • PATIENTS WITH COVID SYMPTOMS

if you are feeling unwell and need medical advice please contact the surgery by telephone so that we can arrange a clinical consultation.

If you have Covid symptoms including new cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell, please do  not attend the surgery for any reason without a negative PCR COVID TEST
