  • Welcome to SouthEast Family Practice

The Doctors and Staff would like to thank our Patients for their on-going support and co-operation during these challenging times.

Thank You!

FLU VACCINE - All patients aged over 50 and Patients with underlying health conditions are entitled to a free flu vaccine.  Please contact the practice if you have not received your vaccine but would like one.

COVID VACCINE

Our COVID VACCINE programme is well under way.  We will contact you to arrange your appointment.

Supply of the vaccine is the rate limiting factor and who we are allowed to vaccinate is unfortunately outside our control.  As a result of this our programme is progressing slower than we would like.

We have however, been able to  vaccinate over 1900 patients in the practice so far.

At present we are only able to vaccinate risk groups 1-6 which includes all extremely clinically vulnerable, all patients over age 65 and all patients aged 18 and over who are clinically vulnerable and their carers.

Any patients who are carers and have not been offered a vaccine -please contact the practice by phone or by email (Reception.Z001482@gp.hscni.net )

We are also able to offer all 65-70 year olds who feel they are unable to travel to a trust vaccination clinic

As a practice, we are committed to vaccinating all of our patients and protecting the health of our community, as soon as we possibly can

We strongly encourage all patients who are eligible, to receive this vaccination.

We will continue to update our website with more information as it becomes available

We are  planning our vaccination clinics to be carried out at two sites: our practice premises in Cregagh and also at Belvoir Presbyterian Church, 24C Dunseverick Avenue (SEE MAP BELOW). Our staff will highlight to you which premises your appointment is at.

For those offered appointment times in Belvoir Prebyterian Church Hall, below is an overview of the site and the entrance/exit arrangements along with parking suggestions.

CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

WE REMAIN OPEN DURING OUR NORMAL WORKING HOURS

We have adopted a TELEPHONE FIRST approach.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN AUTHORISED APPOINTMENT

Due to the current pandemic the Practice has changed the way it works, in line with Public health Guidance in NI.

We have restricted access to both our sites, to reduce risk of COVID transmission.

We are mindful of the impact these changes may have.

These changes have been necessary, in order to minimise risk to both patients and staff.

WE WANT TO REASSURE PATIENTS  THAT WE ARE WORKING HARDER THAN EVER TO ENSURE THAT PATIENTS RECEIVE APPROPRIATE CARE AND ADVICE, AS SAFELY AND AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

We are keeping the situation, our response, and our delivery of services under constant review.

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR CONTINUED APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING.

NEED MEDICAL ADVICE?

  • Patients requiring medical advice should contact the surgery by telephone in the first instance.

  • Our receptionists will ask you some questions, in order to best direct your query to the most appropriate clinician.

  • We will be able to offer appropriate clinical advice remotely via telephone or Video consultation. If deemed necessary by the clinician, patients may be invited for a face-to-face consultation with a doctor or nurse.

  • THE RECEPTIONIST MAY SUGGEST, IF APPROPRIATE, ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF RESOLVING A QUERY, FOR EXAMPLE A CONSULTATION WITH ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE PRACTICE TEAM (EG DIABETIC NURSE TO DEAL WITH DIABETIC QUERIES).
  • PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN AUTHORISED APPOINTMENT

PATIENTS WITH COVID SYMPTOMS

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM ANY SYMPTOMS THAT MAY BE ATTRIBUTABLE TO COVID.

PATIENTS WITH SEVERE COVID SYMPTOMS MAY REQUIRE FURTHER ASSESSMENT AT A COVID CENTRE OR HOSPITAL, BUT WE WILL CONTINUE TO ASSESS PATIENTS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE VIA TELEPHONE OR VIDEO CONSULTATION AND OFFER ADVICE IN LINE WITH GUIDANCE.
