Welcome to SouthEast Family Practice
Due to the current pandemic the Practice has changed the way it works, in line with Public health Guidance in NI.
WE REMAIN OPEN DURING OUR NORMAL WORKING HOURS
We have adopted a TELEPHONE FIRST approach, but continue to see patients face to face when necessary.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AUTHORISATIONWe have restricted access to both our sites, to reduce risk of COVID transmission.
We are mindful of the impact these changes may have.
These changes have been necessary, in order to minimise risk of COVID to both patients and staff, but also to help the practice deal more efficiently with the large increase in demand for GP services.
WE WANT TO REASSURE PATIENTS THAT WE ARE WORKING HARDER THAN EVER TO ENSURE THAT PATIENTS RECEIVE APPROPRIATE CARE AND ADVICE, AS SAFELY AND AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
We are keeping the situation, our response, and our delivery of services under constant review.
WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR CONTINUED APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING.
NEED MEDICAL ADVICE?
Patients requiring medical advice should contact the surgery by telephone in the first instance.
Our receptionists will ask you some questions, in order to assess the urgency of the problem, but also to help direct your query to the most appropriate clinician, which may include a GP, Advanced nurse practitioner or clinical pharmacist.
We will be able to offer appropriate clinical advice remotely via telephone or Video consultation. If deemed clinically appropriate, patients will then be invited for a face-to-face consultation with a clinician.
- THE RECEPTIONIST MAY SUGGEST, IF APPROPRIATE, ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF RESOLVING A QUERY, FOR EXAMPLE A CONSULTATION WITH ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE PRACTICE TEAM (EG DIABETIC NURSE TO DEAL WITH DIABETIC QUERIES).
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AUTHORISATION
PATIENTS WITH COVID SYMPTOMS
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM ANY SYMPTOMS THAT MAY BE ATTRIBUTABLE TO COVID.
PATIENTS WITH SEVERE COVID SYMPTOMS MAY REQUIRE FURTHER ASSESSMENT AT A COVID CENTRE OR HOSPITAL, BUT WE WILL CONTINUE TO ASSESS PATIENTS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE VIA TELEPHONE OR VIDEO CONSULTATION AND OFFER ADVICE IN LINE WITH GUIDANCE.
