Welcome to SouthEast Family Practice

CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic the Practice has acted to protect patients and staff.

We have restricted access to both sites, and are currently unable to work as normal, because of the need for social distancing to minimise the spread of the disease

Patients seeking advice should contact the surgery by telephone in the first instance.

We anticipate most problems can be managed remotely via telephone or Video consultation. Where deemed necessary patients will be invited for a face-to-face consultation.

PATIENTS WITH COVID SYMPTOMS MAY REQUIRE FURTHER ASSESSMENT AT A COVID CENTRE OR HOSPITAL, BUT WE WILL CONTINUE TO ASSESS VIA TELEPHONE OR VIDEO CONSULTATION

FOR ADVICE ON CORONAVIRUS PLEASE REFER TO THE NHS 111 WEBSITE. THE PRACTICE CANNOT FIELD ROUTINE QUERIES

PLEASE PHONE THE SURGERY FOR ADVICE ONLY IF NEEDED

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN AUTHORISED APPOINTMENT

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS ADVICE:

Those returning from specified areas/countries and/or those who have been in contact with confirmed cases are expected to self isolate for 2 weeks.

As the virus is circulating in the community those that are suffering for a flu-like illness, cough or fever are asked to self isolate and remain at home for 1 week from the onset of symptoms.

Most cases are expected to be mild. Those with severe symptoms such as shortness of breath may need advice and referral for specialist management.

Please be mindful that the Healthcare system is operating under increased stress.
