NEWS

General practice is facing very difficult financial circumstances due to the Department of Health withdrawing or reducing our funding streams and also due to inflationary pressures.

These factors have contributed to difficulty in staff recruitment and retention.

Unfortunately this has led to a current shortage of staff and as a result we have taken  steps to ensure the continued function of all our systems

We will now switch our telephones to accepting urgent calls only between 12-2pm (instead of 1-2) and  5-6pm
We will continue to offer urgent calls wed pm 1-6pm as usual.

Our doctors will continue to offer the same number of appointments, but this change is needed due to the shortage in our admin team. This is necessary to ensure important administrative processes including prescription processing. We apologise for any inconvenience and are grateful for your continued support.

We would like to highlight our online booking system- for requesting a consultation or support- see below for more details.

YOU CAN NOW CONTACT US ONLINE VIA PATIENT SERVICES TO REQUEST A TELEPHONE OR FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION.

Online services are now available via www.patient-services.co.uk.

NEED MEDICAL ADVICE?

  • We now operate a system of triage.

  • Patients requiring medical advice should contact the surgery by telephone or online through patient services.

  • If requesting via telephone- Our receptionists will ask you some questions, in order to assess the urgency of the problem, but also to help us to direct your query to the most appropriate clinician which may include a GP, Advanced nurse practitioner or clinical pharmacist.  This allows the practice to help more patients to quickly get the advice they need.

  • If making request for consultation or clinical advice through our online booking system- please give as much information as possible to allow us to triage the query in the best way. Please tell us if there is a window when you are best placed to take a call. We will then contact you to progress your enquiry. www.patient-services.co.uk.

  • Following triage, we will be able to offer clinical advice remotely via telephone or Video or offer a face-to-face consultation with a clinician at one of our surgeries.

  • Every problem or query does not need a Doctor. Help us signpost you to the most appropriate solution. The receptionists may suggest, following triage by a senior clinician, alternative ways of resolving a query.
